Audio Blog – Seasonal Circles Podcast – Love Letter to Myself
There is a quiet truth we forget in modern life:
You are seasonal. Not inconsistent.
Not unmotivated.
Not “behind.”
Seasonal.
In Ayurveda — the ancient healing system of India — we follow a practice called Ritucharya, or seasonal alignment. Nature shifts throughout the year, and so does your body, your energy, your emotions, and your capacity.
The problem isn’t that you change. The problem is that you expect yourself not to.
What Ayurveda Teaches About the Seasons
Each season carries a dominant energy, or dosha, that influences how we feel.
In winter, we crave warmth and protection.
In spring, we feel the urge to release and reset.
In summer, we may burn hot — driven, ambitious, sometimes irritable.
In autumn, change stirs creativity and anxiety all at once.
None of this is personal failure.
It is rhythm.
When we resist seasonal shifts, we feel exhausted or out of alignment.
When we honor them, something softens.
Why Write a Love Letter to Yourself?
Because most of us only speak to ourselves when something is wrong.
We critique.
We pressure.
We push.
But what if you responded to your current season with devotion instead?
What if, instead of demanding productivity during a winter season, you offered protection?
What if, instead of shaming yourself for feeling heavy in spring, you asked what needed to be released?
A love letter is a new way of saying.
I see you. I understand what you feel. I want to care for you in a new way.
A Simple Seasonal Ritual You Can Try
Set aside 20–30 minutes.
Make tea.
Light a candle.
Turn your phone on silent.
Place one hand on your heart and ask:
What season am I in right now — externally or internally?
Then begin writing:
Dear Me,
I see that you have been…
I forgive you for…
This season, I promise to…
You are allowed to…
I am proud of you for…
Write without fixing. Let it be real. Let it be true.
When you’re finished, fold the letter and place it somewhere meaningful. Open it again at the end of the season.
Notice what changed.
Living Seasonally Is an Act of Self-Respect
Ayurveda doesn’t ask you to change.
It asks you to notice.
When you follow your season, you stop fighting your own body.
And when you stop fighting yourself, love feels easier.
Not wild love.
Calm love.
The kind that says:
I will meet you where you are.
Join the Ritual
I created a guided online experience called Love Letter to Myself — a seasonal Ayurvedic ritual to help you slow down, reflect, and reconnect with your rhythm.
It’s gentle. It’s calming. And it’s something you can come back to every season.
You aren’t meant to live the same way all year.
You are meant to change like nature does.
With Gratitude, Robin
