The following is a summary from the interview between Robin B. Pipkins, host of Seasonal Circles, and Skye Kelly, founder of Heal One World.

Can you walk us through your journey and that aha moment that inspired you to start your wellness organization?

Skye’s journey to founding her wellness organization began with a devastating car accident at the age of eighteen. This life-altering event forced her to reevaluate her priorities and explore new avenues for healing and recovery. Despite the challenges she faced, including being rated permanently disabled, Skye discovered alternative healing modalities that helped her recover.

Her journey led her to practices such as acupuncture, meditation, and yoga, which not only aided in her physical healing but also nurtured her mental well-being. Inspired by her experiences and a desire to give back, she created the organization to provide accessible wellness services to those in need.
Through workshops, community programs, and personalized support, the organization has empowered countless individuals to take charge of their health. The organization has thrived for over seventeen years, driven by a passion for helping others and a commitment to keeping overhead low..
Skye’s dedication to her mission remains unwavering, and she continues to seek innovative ways to enhance her organization’s impact in the community.

What is the core mission of the organization, and who specifically do you all serve?

Skye explains that the mission of Heal One World is to provide accessible, preventative, and non-invasive wellness resources that support self-directed health. The organization offers a wide range of services such as yoga, tai chi, meditation, journaling, vision board workshops (with Robin), Reiki, and other holistic practices through both in-person and online classes. Their online community expanded significantly during COVID. Heal One World serves anyone seeking support, emphasizing inclusivity and removing barriers by allowing people to participate without strict qualifications or financial requirements. The goal is to create a welcoming space where people from all backgrounds can access wellness resources and build meaningful community connections.

Where do you see Heal One World being in the next five to ten years?

Skye explained that after the yoga studio in Fresno closed during COVID, she began looking for a better use for the money they were spending on storage. Instead of continuing to pay monthly fees, they searched for an affordable property in California that could store their equipment and also serve as a retreat space. This led to the purchase of a geodesic dome property on two and a half acres in Tehachapi, about an hour and a half north of Los Angeles. The previous owner supported their vision of creating a meditation and retreat center and helped make the purchase possible through seller financing and a reduced price. Skye plans to use the space—called the Joy Dome—for retreats, yoga, sound healing, and other wellness activities. The retreat center will also function as a social enterprise to generate income that helps sustain the nonprofit’s mission and future projects while continuing to offer classes and programs to the community.

What is the partnership between Heal One World and Infinite Black Circle?

Robin explains that she recently began teaching vision board workshops focused on intentional living and manifesting goals for the year. The first class, held in January, had a strong turnout with highly engaged participants. Because of the positive response, she decided to continue the program with monthly check-ins to help participants stay accountable and maintain momentum toward their goals.

Through a new partnership with Infinite Black Circle, the organization will help support and promote these offerings by increasing community awareness and helping people find the workshops. This includes marketing support, outreach, and using resources like a nonprofit Google Ad Grant so that people searching for guidance or personal development opportunities can discover the classes. The partnership is focused on expanding access to these services while continuing to grow programs that benefit the community.

How do you see the partnership evolving in the future?

Robin and Skye discuss the possibility of hosting in-person retreats together. Robin shares that facilitating in-person experiences is something on her bucket list, as she is currently only offering online workshops with Heal One World. Skye expresses enthusiasm about the idea and believes Robin would be a great facilitator. Skye also notes that while they have hosted retreats at the dome before, they need additional facilitators to expand what they can offer. Both agree they are excited about the opportunity and look forward to potentially collaborating on future retreats at the dome.

How can people reach Heal One World if they want more information?

Skye shares how listeners can connect with her and learn more about the organization through the Heal One World website, where they can find information about classes, events, and community offerings. She invites people to reach out by email if they have questions or would like to contribute their own offerings, noting that many teachers have discovered the organization this way. Skye and Robin also discuss their shared goal of using wellness practices and community support to help raise positive energy and create meaningful change, emphasizing the importance of staying hopeful and continuing to offer uplifting work during challenging times.
